Commercial first aid attendants are an essential part of the first aid services required for workplaces under Part 3 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation ("OHSR"). This standard explains how a person becomes certified to act as an attendant, the terms and conditions of certification, the general responsibilities of the attendant in the workplace, and the disciplinary actions the Workers' Compensation Board of B.C. ("Board") may take if an attendant does not meet his or her responsibilities.
